We grow it, you pick it !

Marie’s Garden : an organic self-picking garden near Brussels

Dear clients,

As you know, our strawberries are stealing the show this year and we will do the utmost to have you enjoy them to the fullest.

Our strawberry plants have however had to endure some tough weather conditions this early season, with an excellent month of March that made them grow more than usual, followed by an exceptional month of April, during which their flower buds got frozen… Our plants have suffered quite a bit, but the survivors are looking beautiful and their fruits are delicious !

In order to guarantee sufficient quantities and an optimal quality during the weeks to come, we will be opening our doors in function of the production levels of our plants and of the weather… So don’t forget to check regularly on our website, most importantly before hitting the road, if we are open !

To wrap up, the sustainability of our project is also depending on your behaviour. If you wish to continue to have the opportunity of picking your own fruits and to enjoy your time outdoors at marie’s garden, we would like to remind you that there are some ground rules:

  • We gently insist on reminding you that the fruits may not be eaten before they are weighed and paid for at the cash register.
  • We kindly ask you to not throw or leave behind any of the fruits once you have picked them. Even if they are a little deformed or blemished, there is always something you can do with it.
  • For your own safety, please make sure to stay on the indicated pathways and never walk passed a “no entrance” sign.
  • If you are coming with children, please ensure that they are never left without supervision and that they also follow these rules.

We’re really looking forward to welcoming you again on our fields.
